Before & After

Hair Removal

1How does Hair Removal with elos?
We use laser and bipolar radio frequency energies to damage the hair follicle. This disables the follicle from growing hair, which means that gradually over several treatments, there is a permanent reduction in the amount of hair in that area.
2What is the advantage of elos hair removal systems?
There is no exclusionary criteria based on skin type or hair color (the treatment approach for apigmented hairs is different than treating dark hair and the response rate may be less predictable). The applicator has an added benefit of treating large zones very fast.
3How efficacious is the treatment?
In a study which included various skin types showed high rates of clearance 3 months after a single treatment. Post treatment hair extrusion occurs around 2-3 weeks. Some hair shafts can be pulled out of the follicle immediately post-treatment without resistance, indicating disengagement from the follicle while the hair shaft is still intact .
4Is the treatment safe?
Treatment is very safe for the skin. There are many advances in the technology that make elos one of the safest hair removal systems available for all skin colors. There are no long term health hazards from laser or electric energies used in elos. Both optical and radio frequency have been used for decades in medicine, surgery, and aesthetics without adversity.
5How is the treatment tolerated by the patient?
Everyone has different pain tolerances but most patients are treated without topical anesthetic creams. The chilled air device, SynerCool is very helpful for discomfort during treatment and especially when fast, auto-repeat firing is used for large treatment zones.
1What results can one expect from the elos treatment?
Each treatment will result in less hair coming back, as well as hair growing progressively lighter in color, finer, and slower-growing with each treatment. It takes more than 1 treatment to affect all the follicles growing in an area. Most people achieve satisfactory clearance after 6-8 treatments, but individual results vary depending on medical and genetic factors. Lighter colored hair may require more treatments than darker colored hair.
2How frequently does one need elos hair removal treatments?
The treatments are usually performed every 2-3 months, but this depends on individual factors.
3What happens after each elos hair removal treatment?
Temporary pinkness in the skin lasts a very short time, and most people return to work or normal activities immediately after treatment. The treated area will "shed" some hairs over the next 2-4 weeks, and patients may experience a period of hairlessness in the area while you wait for your next treatment.
4Who should get elos treatment for Hair Removal?
Anyone who wants a permanent solution to shaving, waxing, plucking, or electrolysis. There are few medical conditions that contraindicate people from treatment.
5What is the average number of treatments for elos hair removal, dark hair?
The average number of treatments is 6-8 to achieve satisfactory clearance, but some patients may require more or less. Men's backs and chests, facial hair and hormonal hair take more than the average number of sessions, usually 8 or more.

Skin Tightening

1How does Wrinkle Treatment with elos ReFirme work?
The ReFirme ST procedure combines safe and effective levels of infrared light and bipolar radio frequency energies to remodel the dermal layer of the skin by stimulating new collagen growth. Both laser and radio frequency have been used separately for decades in medicine and surgery, but the treatment exclusively combines infrared light and bipolar radio-frequency energy for ideal treatment outcomes with a very low risk of side effects and virtually no down-time.
2What results can one expect from the ReFirme Applicator treatment?
ReFirme can improve sagginess of the face, neck and some body areas such as the abdomen or upper arms. Skin texture can also be smoothed out by the firming effect of treatment. This treatment is performed non-ablatively, which means this is a non-invasive procedure. Most people leave the treatment office with only slight pinkness or no pinkness at all. Patients can return to normal activities immediately.
3Does it hurt?
Refirme is a gentle, comfortable treatment requiring no downtime. Many patients return to normal activities immediately after the treatment. Cooling of the skin's surface provides enhanced safety and additional comfort.
4How often are treatments done?
Most patients will have between 3-5 sessions typically 3-4 weeks apart. The best results are seen 3-6 months post completion with maintenance every 6 months.
1When can the patient expect to see results?
Most patients see gradual and cumulative results throughout the Refirme treatments. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on the patient's skin condition.
2How is ReFirme Applicator treatment tolerated by the patient?
The ReFirme procedure is well tolerated by most patients without any topical anesthetic or other means of analgesia. The treatment tip is chilled so it provides contact cooling to the skin surface for added comfort.
3Is treatment with the Refirme Applicator safe?
Any medical aesthetic procedure has risk of side effects such as superficial blistering, crusting, and pigmentation changes in the skin. These risks are rare and usually quickly resolved.
4Who should be treated with the ReFirme Applicator?
Refirme can safely treat all skin types for sagginess, loss of elasticity, or textural irregularities. Treatment can be done on the face, neck, or other areas of the body.

Vein Treatment

1How does Leg & Facial Vein Treatment with elos Applicator work?
The Applicator combines safe and effective levels of laser and radio frequency (electric current) energies to remove leg veins and other unwanted vessels. Both laser and radio frequency have been used separately for decades in medicine and surgery, but the treatment exclusively combines light and electric energy for ideal treatment outcomes – improve leg veins and vascular lesions with a very low risk of side effects.
2What results can one expect from the treatment?
The treatment can improve unsightly leg veins, facial spider veins and other unwanted vascular lesions. Spider veins and larger blue-green vessels on legs will gradually fade and can be treated until patient satisfaction has been reached.
3How many treatments are required?
Most patients will have between 1-3 treatments. Some vessels may require more than 3 treatment sessions.
4How often are treatments done?
Treatment sessions are typically 6-8 weeks apart. Smaller spider veins may be treated every 4 weeks.
5How is the treatment tolerated by the patient?
The sensation may be described as a "hot pinch". Patients tolerate treatment well by use of either cooling the skin during treatment and/or use of a topical anesthetic cream that numbs the skin.
6Is treatment safe?
ANY medical laser procedure has risk of side effects such as superficial blistering, crusting, and pigmentation changes in the skin. These risks are rare and usually quickly resolved. The treatment incorporates several technological advances that focus on patient safety to minimize these risks and provide greater satisfaction. The laser hand-piece is also cooled for skin protection and comfort during the procedure.
7Who should be treated?
Anyone with unwanted leg veins or vascular lesions may be a candidate for treatment. Removal of vascular lesions and veins with elos technology (laser and radio frequency) is a safe and effective alternative for patients who want non-invasive approach to vascular treatment. This treatment is the clear choice for patients who do not like needles or who have had adverse reaction to solutions that are injected into the veins.

Sublative Rejuvenation

1How does Sublative Rejuvenation work?
An array of radio frequency energy is precisely directed to tiny matrix spots. The healthy skin around the spots accelerates the healing process of the skin. Post treatment, increased levels of beneficial collagen and new healthy skin cells are produced. Mild to moderate wrinkles and superficial skin discoloration are reduced, and skin texture becomes more smooth and elastic. Who should be treated with Sublative Rejuvenation? Treatment is a safe and effective solution for most skin types.
2When can patients expect to see results?
Typical treatment protocol is 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on the skin condition of the patient. How is the Sublative Rejuvenation treatment tolerated by patients? During treatment, many patients feel a warm, prickly sensation as energy enters their skin. After treatment a pink or red "sunburn" appearance and feeling is also common. Topical anesthetic ointments and cooling are often used to reduce discomfort during treatment.
3What are the cleaning guidelines for the disposable treatment tips?
The treatment tip will need to be cleaned every 25 pulses. The system will stop pulsing and ask that you clean the treatment tip. The tip should not be removed but rather wiped down with a gauze pad moistened with 70% alcohol.
4Is Sublative Rejuvenation available for upgrade to my current Syneron system?
The Sublative Rejuvenation applicator is compatible with the eLight, eLaser, and eMax systems. The upgrade kit for Sublative Rejuvenation includes the applicator, new software, 10 treatment tips, 10 test tips, the User Manual, and a Quick Reference Guide.
5What are the three treatment programs?
The SelectPulse feature has three Sublative Rejuvenation programs for adjusting the depth and intensity of ablation and dermal heating to treat a range of skin conditions. Program A is for mild ablation and skin resurfacing with a shallow impact. Program B is for moderate ablation and skin resurfacing with a mid-level depth impact. Program C is to create intense ablation and skin resurfacing with the deepest impact.
